In Search Of Salmon...

There are those that just want to catch fish, and there are those that just want to fish.  I belong to the latter.

I had the pleasure to be fishing the Feather River for salmon yesterday with "da Pro."  We fished all day "back trolling" sardine wrapped kwikfish.   I don't want to go into explaining what the technique involves because there are already many websites that do an excellent job of it.  Just do a "Google" search.

There were many fishermen there, and fish were rolling.  But I did not see anyone land fish between 1 - 6 PM.  That was the time that we fished.  Da Pro and I worked hard.  I manned the poles while the da Pro commandeered the boat.  I have never witnessed anyone worked the drift boat as skillful as da Pro.  It was mesmerizing the way the poles danced under his command.  Here's the proof.

That was the second time that I fished for salmon in the Feather River.  So far the score is Feather River salmon:2 and JU:0.

Three Years???

That's the number of years since Ms. Princessa caught her last fish!!!  But on Friday, September 2nd, 2016, the drought is temporary over for her :-)

Hiding in the shades.

Lots of fish here.

It's all old news for us to catch fish.

"I can catch fish any time," said lil' j.

The fish are picky today.

Three years fishing drought is over!!!
